MAXUSART PRODUCTION MODEL ART-CLIP-NEWS
MAXUSART recruit film-makers/photographer/editors qualified with an artistic edge on their work (strong personal approach) or film students from their last year of graduation in Film & Video production interested in art (show-reel is required for selection purposes)
MAXUSART gives you the opportunity to be creative by giving freedom to experiment while filming the exhibition and editing the Art-news clip, but your personal approach should includes those requirements:
1. Filming requirement: a professional DSLR, or small video camera we can also work with assets from iphone, android or Blackberry photo-video devices and professional audio recordings or sound from a mobile phone.
2. To film and to document an art exhibition within 2 hours. It includes: Still pictures of the art exposed, moving images (quick time files) depicting the atmo, the environment, each art work, the place and the people presented in the art-show and 4 separate audio recordings-interviews of the curator, the artist (if present), one person from the audience plus the ambient sound. The audio interviews should be set in place where there is not background noises to improve the quality of the recordings. The audio recordings of the interview should be in English and in original mother tongue.
3. The folder with the content recorded must be labeled with the name of the exhibition/date and area where it has been filmed. Each folder will contain a JPG – folder with all the pictures of each art work presented on the exhibition and the audience Audio-recordings–folder including interviews with the Curator about the exhibition must be labeled) the Artist about his/her art work ( must be labeled) and a person from the Audience ( must be labeled), then the Ambient – sound ( must be labelled too).
4. The footage/ Audio recorded (no longer than 5 min) plus the audio tracks and still pictures will be sent to the editor by 21.00 (by dropbox) who will be editing the material into minimum of 30 sec. to a maximum of 1 min. art news clip and he/she then will deliver the edited art-clip news to MAXUSART by 00.01am European time zones or within 4 hours of end of receipt of assets, by dropbox or other .ftp models.
5. For the editor: the art clip should be labeled with City, Country, Quarter, Year (for example London_UK_q3_2011. It will end with text saying: the name of the exhibition, planet.3//art/news, .maxusart. and this logo *..+`……
6. The filmmaker and the editor will be not accredited for filming or editing the art clip but have the permission to use the edited art-clip for own promotional purposes.
7. The fee cost for filming and editing is a basic 50 euros/pounds/dollars. For editors 100 euros/dollars/pounds if delivered to MAXUSART by 00.01am GMT following an evening art show opening or private view.
8. The filmmaker has to send an invoice after have delivered the footage to MAXUSART where it will be collected. The payments will be made on each following 28th of the month.
9. The Art-Filmer and Art-Editors must send an invoice after have delivered the footage to 37 Bayham Street, Camden Town, London. NW1 0AA. United Kingdom, Planet 3.
